I was trained as an Architect, have a Bachelor from University of Washington and a Master from Columbia University in NY. Started watercolors in the 50s in Seattle as a means of illustrating my designs, and never stopped. I love the medium, hate timidity, draw inspirations from English watercolors of the the mid 1800s.as well as a few Americans of the 1940s to 1970s. Now I paint most days, keep exploring moods and methods, but try to rid myself of technique, at least obvious recognition.
