Judith Toy began painting watercolors with pen & ink at the age of 74, after five years of widowhood following a happy marriage to jazz musician and poet, R. Philip Toy. In Black Mountain, NC, together they ran a Zen Center full time, and led a poetry workshop for 25 years in Pennsylvania.
