A visit to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona is a wonderful experience all year round. But it became even more magical in the winter of 2019 when it was transformed by a light and sound experience by the creative studio Klip Collective. Using light and music in their immersive visual installation, the cacti and desert became a living, dancing canvas during the nighttime. Simply magical! We were all dancing in the moonlight! This memorable experience inspired my painting. I hope the show returns again.

“Dancing in the Moonlight” became a top hit by the rock band King Harvest in 1972.
