The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

There was a 'ugly' theme in a local camera club so I thought I'll try some still life. There was some dead rose lying around and I managed to find one dead fly when doing some xmas cleaning.
