Ancient Egyptian symbols have always fascinated me. They are elegant, beautiful and have many meanings. Recently I read about the chaotic nodes which humanity is experiencing at this time. The challenges seemed to me to correspond to our solar system traveling through the extensive meteor field. I considered the article and how it reflected on Egyptian symbols as helping man navigate this time. Our deep psychological roots or as many might say, our past life recognition, can be activated as we observe or meditate on sacred symbols. The article pointed to the Ankh has offering some stability for human consciousness at this time and thus I considered painting it. Painting is always a meditative practice for me.
Thus you see the background of fire which is a symbol of creation, the turquoise stone in the form of the beetle which symbolizes both knowledge or mental clarity, wisdom and protection. Then the Ankh with many symbols active on it. I opened the loop or eye of the ankh to the fire of creation. The eye is embraced by the Wings of the Rising Sun or God Ra. At the knot of the Ankh rests a golden scarab or beetle, the symbol of protection. Below the beetle are lotus flowers the symbol of rebirth, and below that is the Eye of Horus, the symbol of protection, wisdom, knowledge, all knowingness. The outstreched arms which are said to represent children are also wings that rise like the Sun to remind us we are lifted from the human form to the sacred land of the Sun as we journey beyond this life. I hope you enjoy this creation and that in some way it lifts you out of whatever space has held you back from self-empowerment, wisdom and creative passion.
