I painted this as my first of the plein air season when the weather was still a mystery, the wind had me holding my canvas with one hand in April. The sun was just in the right place setting to reflect interesting shapes and colors on the historic brick facades, I am enamored with our heritage, that which was built by those before us and how we interact with their creation today, the juxtoposition of time, it's inspiring.
