Description
Firesticks (aka Pencil Cactus) is an awe-inspiring plant with the look of sea coral from the depths of the ocean. The plant is water-wise and grows extremely well in the Southwest desert. During the winter, there is a grand display of oranges, yellows and reds that glow in the light. This digital painting is of a cutting of a firestick growing in my garden, the cutting is now planted in its own pot.
